The thing you seem to be forgetting is that the riots are being carried out for the most part by second and third generation youths. They are French citizens and there is nowhere to deport them to.

Also as a reply to other general comments I've seen: the older generations in the immigrant slums are not out rioting, so the whole community does not share the blame for this. It is a particular demographic of teens and 20-something males that are causing nearly all of the problems.
