Reader comment on item: What's Trump's Policy on Visas for Muslims?
in response to reader comment: Muslim Immigration

Submitted by Mohammed Waza Khiddif id'Ullah (Australia), Sep 10, 2016 at 06:34

"With out immigration from Muslim countries, American society and economy would bleed to death. "

It's amazing how, once deluded, the deluded mind descends into a spiral of seeing and believing only what it wants to see and believe, reinforcing it's position continually. When it gets to the point where reality bears no correlation to the perceived reality - we get problems like 'jihad' and muslims striking out at human beings with sinister intent and deadly effect because the caliphate isn't happening quickly enough for them.

If Mr Ahmad (an appropriate surname) had instead written:
"With immigration from Muslim countries, American society, economy and Americans themselves will bleed to death"- he'd get more agreement

"There will never be an end to immigration."

What is important is the source and caliber of immigrants .
The thing is we now have had enough migration into the West from so many sources over sufficient period that we're able to gauge their effects on economies and social cohesion. Migration from muslim countries ends up being a net drag on economies because so many end up as multi-generational welfare recipients. And it has done nothing for social cohesion other than to send it backwards.

Ask people who they prefer as immigrants to their countries out of a list of say Russian, Chinese, Ukrainians and ex-Soviet state emigrees - and arab or pakistani muslims. It's fairly obvious how the cards would fall.
