Hi Yuval you wrote

As for the pig, the medical reason its shunned by Jews is because it is a host for the scolex, a nasty parasite which once ingested migrates to the brain and causes a local expanding mass which causes epilepsy.

And let me see and as per your flawed logic beef should also have been prohibited after all human beings can catch fatal e-coli infections and mad cows disease and surprise surprise human beings can also contract parasites through eating beef oh you do not believe me? here

https://www.foodprotection.org/downloads/meetings/program-activities/programs/edoardo-pozio-meat-borne-parasites.pdf

And let us do not forget that eating meat can lead to obesity and elevated cholestrol and triglycerides and increased risk of heart attacks and gout and let us not forget the very high cost of raising cattle and their very terrible effects on the envirnoment

How come God in his wisdom did not know that?

Pigs? They are easy to raise and feed and they produce high quality protein that is very safe to consume as long as it is properly cooked

And life is not complete without bacon the food of the Gods!

The prohibition of pigs is no more than a silly Semitic custom and no more that cannot be justified

Muslims basically copied a good-sense practice from Jews, as they did circumcision,

There is no good sense in genital mutilation, be it the male or the female variety, after all if God is really perfect how come he creates men with foreskins only to have mere human beings fixing God's error?

Did you read Maimonides? he makes it very clear that the reason for circumcision is "To make the organ weak" Is this a good reason Yuval? Or is it old men trying to control the sexual desires of younger men?

Having said this it is a barbaric custom that should be abandoned

and stopped the good-sense part there,

Muahmmad was not very smart you are giving him credit that he does not deserve

hence despoiling the land, which is strictly forbidden in judaism.

And that is good but one can also argue and say that "making the desert bloom" is also a form of "despoiling the land" Do you get it?
