Your claim that Classical Arabic has been read by all of Europe is now looking like hot air.

You lie so easily.... I have already told you. Likes of Ibn Khaldun, Avicenna, Avverose, Omar Khayyam.... and etc are and were widely read. Yet you repeatedly lie over it.

----

I have already shown how weak Arabic is in the sciences, and how weak it is academically.

No you haven't. Arabs are weak in science.... that really has not got much to do with Arabic. Answering how weak Arabic is - that is question of linguistics.

Few wiki links does not answer that.

If Arabic wasn't considered an important or substantial language - most prestigious of Western Universities would not have departments. In Europe - beside popular few European languages - its the most studied language.

-----

All the names of Arabic authors i gave you had their work translated into several world languages. If

Same wiki links that you tend to love so much exist and more. What was your claim? Only few Academic and educated Arabs read them.

Despite asking you have no proof. And you have just made it up - along with many more view.

You lie about literacy figures - they average over 70% for Arabic countries - yet you still claim

-----

Yet you choose to lie over it. Same as - despite proof you maintain that Arabic does not have words for Laser, fractal or Microchip. I even gave you their usage online.

Najib Mahfouz figure are well beyond 10,000. Even his most unknown work has sold more than that. That is 10,000 per print run. He has been going for several decades.

" Rumour has it that, at the best of times, Naguib Mahfouz's [former Nobel Laureate] novels were printed 10,000 copies at a time."

-----

Although exact Print records are difficult to obtain for Arabic authors - even then besides Najib:

Anis Mansour.

But here is one popular name - Anis Mansour. He wrote over 170 books, translated

His most popular work is "Around the world in 200 days". It is still read all over the Arab world.

According to the original publisher (nahdat) - it has sold over 60 million copies to date.

More as I find them.
