I asked for facts Amin

Reader comment on item: Arabist Snobs
in response to reader comment: More lies...as per usual

I asked for facts Aim, do you understand that a name is not a fact? I ASKED FOR THE NAME, TITLE AND NUMBER PRINTED. I gave the example of 1 Agatha Christie book which has sold over 100 million copies. I also stated that Agatha Christie has has more books printed than the Arab world combined. If just one of his books has sold over 100 million copies, and your top Arabic Author has from what my research shows only print runs of 10,000 copies, you seem to be facing a problem of volume.

Now if you could of find a list of Arabic novels with numbers printed, that support your claim Arabic is a strong language, you would have. I asked for facts, numbers; not just names. The Authors you mentioned may be the best Arabic Authors, but how many books have they sold, how many people have read their books? You seem prone to exaggerate, so your statement of millions sold sounds like more hot air. Maybe your poor English is the problem that you do not understand what facts, proof and evidence means. I said that Arabic is a weak language and its gave as an example how few books are printed or read in Arabic. I contrasted this with the numbers of books printed and sold by English Authors. An intelligent person would respond with the actual Authors names, titles and print runs of books in Arabic that would refute my statement. You have instead resorted to name calling, changing the subject, or giving names of Authors but no numbers. I asked you to put up or shut up, obviously you have failed to provide any facts at all. Your responses remind me of Chemical Ali, when questioned by Western media over Iraq's ability to defeat the Allied forces.
