This article is very interesting but you forgot to mention why the hijab was ordered. It was to differentiate between free women and slaves. A women was attacked at night when she was going to do her business (Arabs didnt have toilets inside the their homes at the time) so after that the hijab was ordered. So it seems that in the case of Islam its a different cause.

Why the hijab was chosen to make the diffrentiation between the free and the slaves? That might have been taken from the Jews who are indeed affected by the Sumerians.
