Never Believed Flight 800 Was An Accident.

Reader comment on item: Why Did American Airlines 587 Crash?

My best friend of 28 years and I were setting the table for a big garlic chicken dinner for the kids when the first news bite on Flight 800 broke. The only info available was a sound bite from an NYC radio broadcast by a reporter who spoke to a witness at the scene. The witness was an old woman who was fishing in a boat out on the water. She said she heard the plane go over and happened to look up; at this same time, she saw what she thought was fireworks go off in the direction of the plane. Then the plane exploded. We heard this on CNN. But the sound bite was never played again. We looked for it in the papers and on the net. No where was it written or broadcast again. My best friend and 4 children heard this. I never believed what the government and media said to explain what happened to flight 800. When that sound bite disappeared from the news, I just assumed it was covered up, because the administration at that time didn't want to deal with it. In fact, I read that the CIA couldn't even get appointments with the top guy to discuss security during the 8 years he was in office because he didn't want to deal with it.. So for 8 years, terrorists had much time to plan attacks and smuggle supplies stateside. And the hands of what few good CIA people we had were tied. I say what few because the CIA was pretty much gutted during the Carter administration. We had an intelligence agency that was up there with the Israelis and the British. Now we have to depend on them for info.
