Submitted by Rich McMahon (United States), Aug 30, 2004 at 17:37 Dear Dr. Pipes,I would like to suggest a fifth comment to the four you listed: 5. If it was terrorism, was this covered up by US authorities? Surely, if the shoe bomb scenario was in effect, explosive residue should have been detected by US investigators (even as explosive traces were detected by Russian investigators in the two recent aircraft incidents). At the least, the American public should me made aware of all investigatory steps taken post-crash to check for explosives/terrorism.
