Submitted by Stan Revich (Canada), Aug 31, 2004 at 07:54 The answer to the question of why commit a terrorist act if it is not publicized is obvious.It was designed as a test experiment to see if it would work. The real terrorist act that would be made known to the world was to come later at a time of their own choosing. If they had revealed how it happened then the means would be of no use later. There are two other incidental possibilities as well. The first as that the US knows full well what happened but refused to make it public unless the terrorists did first. Maybe yes, mabe no as to that possibility. It depends on one's conspiratorial bent. The other possibility is that it was not intended as a means of terror; it was a means of assassination of someone else on that flight. Thanks.
