This is a fairly delayed amendment, but, lest some responses to the incredulousness of Orde Wingate's Zionism above and at another of Dr. Pipes' blogs be received as strident--- the passion of Orde Wingate's Zionism is made all the more remarkable (if not more comprehensible) by his background; The Old Testament-heavy upbringing of his Puritan (Calvinist) family coupled with his subsequent rebellion make all the more clear that it is God himself who tries the hearts of men and women (Prov.17:3); In the Mandate and in the man, in the world..
