Mr Pipes is right on..trying to make peace with a "crocodile" only gets your arm chopped off as you try to pet him.

How come Dan Pipes understands the "mind of the Jihad" and Pres Obama and his advisors don't! Sure, pressure Israel...they really want peace..and Hamas et al pretend to want peace and use this ruse to perpetuate their terror. Add Uran to the Jew hating formula and Israel really has trouble. What a mentality Hamas has.. mind you one thousand prisoners for poor Giliad Schalit! And Hamas dangles him like a toy in front of Israel who cries tears for his release. Hamas loves it when Israel cries. Mr Pipes is correct ..only victory will suffice or at best a stalemate. But if hamas continues with their rockets and murder, Israel should make "cast Lead" into "cast hell"!
