It's our Jewish youth that worries me. My Grandson didnt even know what "Zionism" means!

I know there are Jewish youth that are very involved in Israel...but more than many are not! My Grandson and his Jewish friend didnt even know what "Zionism" meant. What is it with our synagogues while preparing for Bar Mitzvah...Shouldn't we be teaching Jewish history also with Torah? Without under standing the 4000 years of Jewish travail, one cannot understand Israel's trmendous problems and enemies. Jewish history is fascinating...we are a people who has seen it all thru the centuries!
