Zionism and Judaism

Reader comment on item: "Jewish" - Not the Same as "Pro-Israel"

A. You still have to distinguish between Jewish Zionists and other non-jewish Zionists as their reasons for being Zionists differ signifigantly.

B. Zionism IS an integral part of Judaism, or at least an integral part of any form of Judaism which takes the bible seriously. If a jew is anti-Zionist, he is either anti modern political zionism as founded by Herzl and the World Zionist Congress, or that person does not take the Biblical Jewish Tradition seriously. I realize nothing you wrote contradicts that but its important to emphasize the fact that Zionism is integral to Judaism.
