Swapping of prisonersReader comment on item: Hezbollah's Victory, Israel's Decline Submitted by Jeremy (United States), Feb 4, 2004 at 15:25 I was aghast when I heard that Israel was swapping over 400 prisoners for 3 Israelis.I agree with everything you said in the article. Israel is sending a message to the world that taking hostages is more beneficial than suicide bombers.... Everyone seems to agree that Israel has bad PR. It's one thing to not send out verbal messages to combat the lies of the Arabs. It's another thing to send messages through actions that play into their hands. The unilateral moves of Sharon to remove settlers from Gaza seems ridiculous. I think the position should be--- If Jews can't live in a Palestinian State then Arabs can't live in Israel. Until all people can live wherever they want there won't be any peace. I wonder if the prisoner exchange and the unilateral move to abandon the settlements has caused any Arab to change his/her mind about Israel's Right to Exist.
