Did the Soldiers Want This Done?

Reader comment on item: Hezbollah's Victory, Israel's Decline

I can never know the sorrow or pain the families of these dead soldiers felt at their inability to bury their loved ones. I just think exchanges of this type nullify the sacrifices made by those in uniform. They are fighting for the security of their nation and its political leaders may be undermining it. How do members of the Israeli military, and by that I mean the lower ranks, feel about such exchanges?
