Sharon's selective loss of memory

Reader comment on item: Hezbollah's Victory, Israel's Decline

Submitted by David Harris (Canada), Feb 3, 2004 at 15:56

With regards to the "body swap", Israeli leaders of any political stripe, and not only those who are related to the survivors of Hitler's Europe, should need no instruction on the dangers of appeasing autocrats and bargaining with terror. Whatever short term gains such negotiations have rendered Sharon the longer term price will far outsrip them as his political expediency has now established a strategy for the enemies of peace and democracy world wide.
