DemographicsReader comment on item: Palestinians Who Prefer Israel Submitted by Tiburon (Canada), Jan 2, 2008 at 11:01 Contra 'common wisdom', the demographics both inside the A-lines and in Yesha (ex-'Aza of course) are fundamentally favourable to Jews, as high birthrate of the rapidly growing observant Jewish community in Israel already exceeds the Arab-Israeli rates, while the inflated palestinian stats have been debunked: - steady sizable outmigration and dropping birthrates point to a Jewish majority in Yesha in a couple of decades as well. I strongly believe we are at the cusp, in terms of Israel's survival, but that forces are also ideally situated for a workable resolution. Professor Paul Eidelberg's Constitutional work gives the solid conceptual foundation for a Jewish State, wherein rights of non-Jews can respected while restricting existential control of the national direction to Jews. www.foundation1.org IMHO Benny Elon's plan to give Jordanian citizenship to the palestinians, while Israel formalizes and de-militarizes it's sovereignity over Yesha (read: - Annexation), seems a workable and practical solution It will require a revolution of some description, or the Hand, to dislodge the Oligarchy. I suppose rocketing of Tel Aviv and environs might be the wedge issue. G-d Forbid. But one way or 'nother, this political System has to fall (and the High Court).
