Jewish:76.1 %
of these Jews 10% Haredin (ultraorthodox), 10% religious, 44% secular
Muslim 16.2 %
Christian 2.1%
Druze (or Druse) 1.6% (Druze are an off branch of Islam, but have been persecuted by both Muslims and
Christians in Lebanon (we have had several Lebanese Druze families in Kingsport, Tn.)
Unclassified 3.95 (mostly people from the old USSR)
Of the Arabs in Israel
82.7 are Muslim
8.4% are Druze
8.3% are Christian
Of the Christians 80% are Arabs. Most Christians born in Israel are born to Christian Arab mothers.
