palestinians prefer living in Israel

Reader comment on item: Palestinians Who Prefer Israel

Submitted by Janusz Kowalik (United States), Jan 1, 2008 at 19:27

I can easily understand why many Palestinians prefer living in Israel .The anti Jewish hate that we often learn about in reports from Moslem states is created mainly by the Islamic religious leaders. Most of Moslem schools and mosques are organized factories of hate.Imagine for a moment that all citizens of Israel and surrounding Arab states would one day part with their religions and become atheists.

The entire Middle East would become peaceful and one potent reason for mutual killing would disapear. Of course, such a transformation is unrealistc but as a gedanken experiment it indicates how dangerous and negative are religions for our survival. In the ancient times when people fought with swords and spears religiusd wars were not as devastating as a potential future conflict between Israel and Iran or Pakistan.

On the positive side we see that despite religious differences many Palestinians prefer a good life to an explosive trip to the martyrs paradise . We can conclude that humans are able to retain some common sense despite the great religious brainwash. Perhaps there is a good future for humanity after all.
