Palestinian Authority = Mafia

Reader comment on item: Palestinians Who Prefer Israel

Submitted by Charles Nixon (United States), Jan 2, 2008 at 17:01

This is one more proof point that the Oslo accords and all other 'peace' intiatives such as Bush's 'roadmap to peace' are based on a lie - that thugs and murderers can be trusted not to act like like thugs and murderers. I'm not speaking of Israel's non-Jewish population in general (Palestinian is such a misleading term - like calling homosexuals gay).

The problem stems from treating terrorists such as Arafat and Abbas as legitimate statesmen. The rationale was given that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. However, this argument will not withstand the barest hint of honest examination. Freedom fighters attack occupation forces to achieve military ends, terrorists just indisciminately kill people to terrorize more people. What the Oslo accords did was the same as if the City of New York had turned over all Italian neighborhoods to the Mafia, but the Mafia wants it all.

Just as we would not expect the majority of Italian-Americans to want live under Mafia rule, it is not surprising that the majority of non-Jewish residents in Israel do not want to live under the rule of organized crime either. Pretending the PA is anything else is stupidity writ large.

The best thing for the non-Jewish people would be the occupation of Gaza and West Bank by the Israeli army.
