reporters should live in Israel during an attack , then " shoot " their mouths off

Reader comment on item: Op Eds Now More Central in War than Bullets

It seems at times that some, not all, of the reporters who write about the middle east conflicts have not lived the lives of the Jewish people of Israel , especially during one or more of the continual and repetative attacks. The people of Israel have been invaded , shelled and attacked on and off for a tremendous amount of time. No other country or people has shown the restraint that Israel has frequenty demonstrated.

For reporters to even imply that Israel is over doing it , when responding to yet another attack is so wrong. Israel has always been the defender , even if it fired the first shot in the six day war it was only due to the knowledge that all of the middle east muslim countries were about to attack Israel. It has always been to keep its' own land no more. This is clear in the fact that Israel gave back huge amouts of land it took in the war. Israel simply wants peace. However if the muslims wish to continue to fight to destroy Israel, which they have told us is their intent , Israel must be allowed to defend herself in any way it sees fit.

The muslim people have a choice attack Israel once again and face the consequences or learn to live in peace and thrive as a culture. The decision is up to the muslims.
