Dear Trans-parere,

Am I correct when I read between your lines that you are trying to refute my claim that Judaism is not a "weak religion" as suggested in Mark's otherwise remarkable post? Because basically that's all I was trying to highlight in my previous comment. I mentioned that the Jewish People were victimized throughout long centuries in a homeless Diaspora not for obtaining your compassion but only because it is a well known and documented historic fact, on which background the adherence of the Jewish People to their religion is a solid testimony to the strength of this religion.

But since you mentioned the crusades as an example of the "support" the Jews had from the Christian world, you must be absolutely ignorant of the significance of the crusades in Jewish history. You should be advised that some of the bloodiest and barbarian massacres of whole Jewish communities in France, Germany, and other places in Europe took place during those "glorious" times. And the fate of the Jews who still remained in the Holy Land was even worse than that of the Muslims because they had much less options to fight back and defend themselves.

I think that if instead of being stuck in your traditional anti-Semitic Christian narrative you would learn some real facts about the History of Mankind you wouldn't ask Jews such an intelligent question like "what have you done for me?" But since you raised also this question of contribution to Mankind, I can assure you that the Jewish People is second to none also in this respect.

Just have a look at the representation of Jews among the Nobel Prize recipients. Does it tell you something? Where did the Prophets come from? Should I ask you also about your God?
