'Worshipping idols'- hmm...seems you know little about either Hinduism or the origins of Islam. The idol 'worship' of Hinduism is ENTIRELY different to the worshipping of Bal that occured in Makkah before Islam.

Hinduism does NOT advocate prayer to the idols themselves, but to the thing it represents ie God. Like the 99 names of Allah, it recognises there are different aspects of God and that the human mind cannot focus on all aspects at once, hence the need for a focal point. Islam has embraced the focusing to a big black stone, Hinduism to prettier stones (murti idols). With your logic, the Ka'ba is the biggest idol in the world.

Islam is not the fastest religion due to conversion, but due to the population rise in the sub-continent.
