Nobody can convert you to Hinduism

Reader comment on item: Conversions in Israel

It is deplorable that people compare religions. You can compare religions founded by an individual - like Islam, Christainity or Sikhism. But it would be impossible to compare with hinduism. All religions are founded upon "Faith" But Hinduism is founded upon "Cosmic Truth". There are two sections in Hinduism - (1)Ethnic (2)Philosophical. The ethnic Hindu can be compared to a Muslim and manyways you can see ordinary hindu is more superstitious than a muslim. Ordinary hindu may have blind faith like Islam.

But the real hinduism cannot be compared. First, please try to understand Vedanta, Brahmasutra, Upanishad or Gita before talking about Hinduism.

Religious texts like Bible and Quaran can be comparable to Puranas or Amar Chitra Katha. But can't comparable with even the preliminary philosophical text like Gita, let alone Vedas.

So if you want to live in a blind faith (mind-level) it would be better live as a Muslim or Christain or ethnic Hindu. But nobody can convert you to a real Hindu. But you can get yourself convereted. How? Like according to cosmic. Ask the question "Who Am I?" The answer will lead you to real Hinduism. Then you can announce, "Yes, I am a Hindu"

Media is generally anti-Hindu. VHP and RSS trying to make Hinduism in the line of Islam. But real Hinduism will survive - it is known as "sanatana dharma" (an eternal and ever-present (even if not ever-visible way of life)
