Franklin,

You can go on abusing the Mother Dharma as much as you like, but you cannot face this truth. If you go to Mussoorie, for example, where for many years, American and other white missionaries have been converting Indians, try and examine truthfully the differences in status accorded to the Indians and their "white" mentors. Go next to Batala, and see for yourself. When you are converted, you will say, Now that we are brothers in Christ, may I marry your beautiful white daughter? See what response you get! Examine your heart truthfully, stand NAKED before God, and don't answer my comment with stupid denials. You know what the truth is!

Now go back to the time when your beloved Christian missionaries came here preaching about the horrors of caste and Hinduism. In the USA, the slaves were experiencing what? Immense equality and the love of Christ? Even after emancipation, these same fervent Baptists and fiercely evangelical Christians of the Southern US pushed back EVERY SINGLE LAW that had been passed and created some of the most horrific systems of fear and repression, economic and psychological, that can be imagined. Segregation and much worse! THe US ARMY and Nationaly Guard had to be called in so that one or two students could go to university in Alabama! Do you know anything about Martin Luther King?

... Read the Papal Bull of 1527, allowing slavery. Read the History of the Portuguese in Bengal, committing the worst type of slavery coupled with mass slaughter, in Sri Lanka, on the West Coast; read Sanjay Subrahmanyam, and see if these are the Christians you are so proud of. If you go to Pakistan, you will find this same Mr. Hareem who is writing to you, will not allow you to drink from the same glass his family uses. You will be UNTOUCHABLE in modern Pakistan because you are a Christian. Don't believe me, write to Christians in Pakistan, read the HRCP accounts, and go there.

...If your heart is upright and noble, you will be too. You are a complete idiot. f you are 6 feet tall and someone, anyone, even 10,000, or 1 million people call you a dwarf, do you become one or are you secure in the self-evident truth of your TALLNESS? Likewise, why does it matter who calls you what? Every Hindu knows or should know that he is of the same substance as God, perfect in all respects, needing for himself to become constantly aware of that fact. You should allow the goads to make you go become more intense in this process of self-discovery. Do you know what a brahman is? have you ever questioned these people back what they thought they were and why? What made them so sure, and what were the scriptural proofs? And what were the spiritual proofs? What were the necessary and sufficient conditions that they were 1) what they said they were, and you were what they said you were; 2) that they were "higher, and you were "lower"!! These were the points making you upset! if these could be absolutely refuted, and they had to admit absolute deeat and apologize publicly, and touch your feet in apology, would you have any quarrel with Hinduism? Because what was hurt was your ego and personal pride. It is not Hinduism at fault but a complex mixture of pride and selfishness. So, if today I can offer you somrthing more suited to your ego and selfishness, something that will make you the ruler of a nation, then you will also be ready to quit Christianity! It is a matter of finding the right reward for your personal ego that will motivate, and nothing to do with your spirtual convictions. ... Svadharme nidhanam shreyah parodharmah bhayavahah. But you know better, and will find great satisfaction when you enter the extended stages of death, will you not? Do you know what those are, and why people are born and what happens? Namaskar.
