Reader comment on item: A New Round of Anger and Humiliation: Islam after 9/11

Submitted by Krystle Mayer (United States), Feb 4, 2003 at 18:15

Sure, after Martin Luther King made his speech years ago , African Americans and Caucasians tried to become fair. As a world we all tried to become fair, and we were! But after 9/11 everyone sees Muslims and Islamists differently. Now do you think this is horrible? Well really, I would like to but I can't! How can anyone? Just look on the t.v and you see them parading down their streets burning American flags and screaming Death to America! They are making a mockery of our Country when really their country is a total disaster. I would indeed like to know where they got those flags if they in fact dont like us. Which brings up another serious point: myself, I know i did nothing that would make them want to kill me and neither did my cousin. But now he is dead because of what? Because of them.. So now how should i think?...
