Reader comment on item: A New Round of Anger and Humiliation: Islam after 9/11

Submitted by H.M.E. (United States), Dec 7, 2009 at 15:34

As a teenage Muslim in the United States, I can honestly say that ... In case you haven't noticed there has been an abundance of hate towards Muslims after September 11. It seems that every time a bomb drops, all fingers are pointed towards Muslims. I have been to more than 3 Muslim countries and of all the people I talked to no one has ever said anything negative about Western nations. There are more Muslims that don't support terrorism than Muslims who do. In fact I think that the Muslims are facing more setbacks in this particular situation. From the banning of minarets in Switzerland to the banning of scarves in French public schools, freedom of religion is fading away when it comes to Islam.
