Reader comment on item: Muslim Zionism
in response to reader comment: The difference between the two Zions

The only reason Jews were born in other countries was that they were expelled from their land and from their beloved Jerusalem by the Romans., before Christ (the Jew from the House of David) was born. The only reason Moslems have been born in Jerusalem is that they conquered the city in 622. It is the Moslems who are the invaders and illegal occupiers.

Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran a single time. It is in the Torah some 600 times. Jerusalem is found in countless Jewish prayers and songs. Moslems do not refer to Jerusalem in their prayers or songs. Jews pray by facing Jerusalem; Moslems pray by facing Mecca. Jerusalem served as the capital of the Jewish kingdoms of Judea and Samaria; it was never the capital of any Arab country. Jews have but one holy city--Jerusalem. Moslems have Mecca and Medina. When Jews have controlled Jerusalem, all faiths had equall access to holy places. When Moslems ruled, the destroyed Jewish cemetaires and synagogues and denied worship to Jews at the Western Wall.
