Reader comment on item: Muslim Zionism

Submitted by Andrew Shaw (United Kingdom), May 29, 2008 at 07:38

Daniel Pipes' conclusion that the Muslim use of Zion is "more powerful" than that of Judiasm can only be agreed with in a physical, not spiritual, sense. Jerusalem comes a poor third place after Mecca and Medina. The Muslim world's "affection" for Jerusalem is a pure reaction to modern day (Jewish) Zionism. The Holy City was neglected during the centuries of Muslim rule.

The Temple will be rebuilt, G-d willing, one day in Jerusalem once all earthly disputes are settled.
