Why Not?

Why can say naziism was the enemy - why not islamism? Why communism or any other ism - and not islamism? Is it solely the basis of religion? Or is it somthing else?

If there was some "ism" that suficiently freightened everyone with implied threats of nuclear destruction spoken against, or criticized, can it be the enemy? What differences between these terms cause us to bite our tongues and hold out speech when internally, our mental clocksprings are about to burst with " because they are the enemy -fool!"

So - Dr. P - please - can you perhaps help distinguish these ? Perhaps a discussion centered on why islamists are treated differently than others? i realize that islamism has at its root a religion - a long established one at that - but if islam were only 25 years old could we immediately call it the enemy? 10 years old? Five? One? it calls us the enemy - clearly, absolutely and with no misgivings. How old does a religous movement that calls for the destruction of everyone else have to be before it is de-facto entitled to take to the world with violence in the cause ot its religious mandate ? Does ANY of this make sense?
