in response to reader comment: It really ticks me off

Ticks you off? That's too bad. You know what ticks me off? State sponsored terrorism. As usual, people like you will always blame anybody with enough gonads to stand up to terrorism, sponsoring terrorism, harboring terrorism, leaders who gas their own people, leaders who are unable to work with the U.N., leaders who have WMDs and then suddenly don't know where they are, maniacs who call for Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth and then try to tell us they just want nuclear power, not nuclear weapons. We're supposed to believe these people? Have you heard what Georges Sada has to say about Saddam's WMDs? They couldn't tell the truth to save their lives.

You can deny all of these things and say I'm ignorant and playing the blame game. I do know that sitting around and waiting for the next terrorist attack on our country won't be our approach anymore. I'm not one of those people who had a fit when it was announced that our luggage would be checked before placing it on the airplanes. In fact, my response was disbelief that that wasn't already being done. I'd rather live than be overly politically correct. I also couldn't believe that it wasn't already the standard to be listening in on incoming Al Quaeda international calls. Call it paranoid or whatever, I call it smart.

As far as who we put in office TWICE, I totally take responsibility for my vote for our President. I wouldn't change my vote. I hope Palestinians will also take responsibility for placing Hamas into power. Diplomacy is what we offered Saddam over and over and over. Diplomacy is what we're trying with that lunatic in Iran. I don't think these guys want anything to do with diplomacy, but we still need to go through the motions. It's true that we're not going to make everyone happy, but we can't play nice with these unstable elements while they're contemplating the demise of millions and acquiring the knowledge and material to make it happen. Nuts like that depend on us playing nice and jumping through all the hoops and being very politically correct. I'm sure they view that as weakness. It appears that the people we're alienating are those who were in bed with them anyway, so that's a pretty good sign that we're heading in the right direction. No love loss there.

As far as Tabari, it seems to be the interpretation Islam operates under. But it doesn't matter anyway, as you can see from the discussions we've had on this board, people are committing atrocities just by reading the Qur'an.
