Assalam

dear brother

after the publications of the cartoons on the Danish newspapers, Muslims were severy hurt and demonstrations happened... a boycott of danish services and products is implemented here and there. we are thousands of Muslims leaving in Danmark and we have started feeling consequences of such boycott in our company which is a maritime one (Maersk Line). We really are running the risk of losing our jobs as we are activ towards the Arab countries where we are meeting boycott.

Thousands of Muslim workers here in Danmark, and other countries working with Danish companies, are also runnning the risk of losing their jobs...

in the other hand, the publication of the cartoons is the fact a newspaper and racism is the fact of a minority of danish people. if Denmark suffers from boycott (Muslims workers would be the first to suffer), all the Danish people may change their feeling about Muslims and racism could grow... is this good for our Muslim population?...

Both the publishing newspaper and the Danish government expressed their excuses after the demonstrations... isn't fruitfull for Muslims to show we can forgive (not forget) and stop any boycott.

in the other hand, some Danish friends are saying that Muslims were only targetting Denmark because France where several newspapers have published the cartoons even after everybody has seen the demonstrations and the way Muslims were hurt, no boycott has been pronounced against France and CMA for example is getting all the volumes to Arab countries... this is seen as unfair by our Danish colleagues...

we do beleive that we have to defend our culture and religion against anyone that would like to hurt them, but we have to be careful not to be the ones that would suffer first and not to react against all of country's population while only a minority of it is racist...

we are willing to get in touch with all our brothers in Dubai, Koweit, Saoudy Kingdom, Denmark in order to ask them to think it over and help us getting out of the situation that is going to hurt Muslims more then anyone else.

please help us.

best regards
Hamid
