I am seeing ridiculous comments being made by some American women, who are being unfair. I wonder if any of these women making these rude remarks have ever visited these regions, or enjoyed the hospitality of these people? Extremists belong to every religion, a lot of us choose to ignore those extremists because they do not affect us directly.

The fact is most people did not give a ... about the afghani women until after september 11th. Only a small handful of human rights groups gave those women any attention, and for a few years prior to september 11th, those organisations were trying to get the international community to help those women. BUT NOBODY CARED. You only care now because its begun to affect YOUR LIVES! How selfish!

Then to make matters worse you critisize these same women by insulting their religion! It is not the religion, it is the individuals controlling the religion, that are the problem. Take for instance that silly Pat Robertson, would anyone really want people to view christianity as a whole based on what they saw and heard from that man? HECK NO!! The fact is this is not really about religion, its about politics. we have helped dictators and monarchies to opress those people, they are not allowed to do whatever they want as we do, because we continue to make sure the people who opress them, stay in power.

As people become educated they become aware. Most Americans are not aware of the extent we play in controlling the lives of others. The USA is one of the best countries in the world to live in, we have so much. But that all comes at a price to the people outside. I dont see how its going to get any better unless people learn empathy and stop being selfish. War never solved anything.
