Someone had a problem with a statements that Jesus and Muhammad are prophets in the same religion.

He sited that he had never (QUOTE) "NEVER heard anywhere Jesus telling his followers to kill all infedels or non-believers. I always had the impression that he wanted his followers to love EVERYONE, believers and non-believers.

Now, would someone explain to me how these two can be of the same belief system? I am now curious to know how Jesus is portrayed in the muslim faith. It seems sort of confusing to me to have prophets saying opposite things to followers.."

The question you need to first ask your self is HOW President Bush and Americans in general can claim to be Christians.... (based on your statement above)..... Has any other Nation killed more ruthlessly than Americans during the last 1/2 century and before that the Europeans.

Jesus (peace be upon him) did indeed ONLY preech love and to love ones enemy regardless.... Now if Christians were to have followed his teachings from then to this date, I very much doubt Christianity would exist today!

Where did Christians go wrong, I wonder......... (something to ponder)

Muslims believe Jesus (peace be upon him) was indeed a Prophet who was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel.... Muslims also believe that Jesus told his followers about the coming of the last Phophet from God, Mohammed..

The Prophet Mohammed also ONLY preached non-violence during the first 12 years after recieving the revealation from God. The persecution and humiliation he faced at the hands of the Pagan was extreme. But Muslims were prohibited to resort to any violence during that period.

Later on he most certainly resorted to war to defend Muslims and protect/secure the message... (Should Christian-Europe have preached non-violence to a Hitler bent on conquering Europe...? Surely not)

I urge those who truly want to understand exactly what Islam and Muslims are about, to read the QURAN.
