It is not so primitive if the 21st century Europeans think in terms of; saying a simple sorry, acknowledgment of their past colonization, paying compensation for the stolen resources and returning the stolen artifacts which are on display in their museums.

I think it will be pretty much contemporary to take responsibility for the past wrongs done to these poor third world countries. What will be a better gesture than this, by the now civilized democratic western countries? That will set an example to the rest of the world to follow.
