No need to apologise for the fluency of your second language. My second language is French and I can happily say that your English is far better than my French so you have my respect in that regard.

I think that I dealt with the 'zol qarnain' element in my first reply so I'm not sure why you need to tell me something that I've already acknowledged. However, your information at least demonstrates a serious knowledge of the subject and a willingness to share that knowledge with the rest of us. I'm well aware (at least I think I am) of who the other prophets are, Moses, Abraham, etc I am disappointed that you choose to dwell on errors rather than the more difficult questions that I allude to.

Yes, my language is incendiary but the simple fact of the matter is that this seems to be the only tactic that ever manages to elicit a response from people on the 'other side' of this argument. Yours is only the second articulate response that I have seen to the many, many reasonable questons posed by contributors to this forum which have met with nothing but silence or religious rhetoric or denial of historical facts.

My observation of this situation is that it is very difficult to get straight, intelligent answers from you guys. You'll blame the Americans for killing Iraqi's yet fail to acknowledge that it is actually the conflict between Sunni & Shi'ite that is causing most of the deaths in Iraq and that the occupying force is a convenient scapegoat. Moderate muslims seem able to do nothing but say 'Islam is a religion of peace' when quoted on the TV. It doesn't help. These extremists don't operate as a separate community to you. They are your brothers and sisters, fathers and sons. If you can't root them out and deal with them what do you expect us to do? Happily accept the situation? It is not Western ignorance that damns you. It is not Western aggression or greed that damns you. It is the silence of moderate Muslims that damns you.

Silence is generally taken to mean consent in a court of law.

You guys have missed an incredible opportunity to show the civilised side of Islam and to march peacefully as we do in the West rather than to descend into an orgy of violence against civilians. I can guarantee that had we seen scenes of peaceful Muslim unity rather than global violence you would have more friends than enemies. But nobody seems able to reconcile the fact that Islam seems to inspire such violence globally. It doesn't necessarily make all Muslims bad but you're presumably aware of the concept of 'probability'? The fact that this instability is being manipulated by numerous political leaders in the Middle East and it would be a fool indeed who was not made 'jumpy' by the situation.

Why have your leaders failed to condemn the Danish imams who falsified the evidence against the Danish cartoonists? Why was there no outcry when these cartoons were reprinted in Eqypt LAST YEAR in one of the main Eqyptian newspapers?

If you, unlike your fellows, have the courage to actually answer these difficult questions we may get somewhere.....
