in response to reader comment: Depiction of Muhammad is not new

Thanks, M. al-Content, for your reply. Your comments are full of logic and factual references. I really appreciate the way you replied to my comments. You and I may not agree with each other, but I like the way you broached your points. 'Rape' is a strong word- but it was a rhetoric in my previous comments. I hope you understood that.

Let me tell you that I am neither an Arab nor a Muslim. I am someone from South Asia and I don't want to be identified by my religion. I prefer ethics and philosophy to religions. Indian philosophy teaches, 'debates are for knowledge. You debate so that you can learn something from your opponent. But don't argue with someone from whom you can learn nothing. That would be a waste of time.'

So when I saw the replies from the Sword Fish and Justme (I think these two are the same person, because they are always commenting on the same subject and supporting each other like twin brothers), and read their comments that through colonialism the Europeans tried to made the 'savage people' civilised, I did not reply to them. There is no use urguing with people form whom you can't learn anything, except racial hatred.

But I liked your comments and thought I should thank you for the information you gave for the readers. Keep writing, otherwise the fish and the crab will dominate this site!
