in response to reader comment: Islam can coexist

Submitted by Dima (Saudi Arabia), Feb 16, 2006 at 06:41

well, Gary
thanks for the response
when you said
" i live in a place where people are offended all the time. i guess we are used to it and thats why we dont go ballistic every time someone says something we dont agree with"

well the place that i live in, is a place that we can offened anyone anytime too...but if you want to take it from Islam's point..it;s not ok
and i take it from Islam's piont
offending makes hate and hatred grows in peoples heart
Islam wants the world to be a happy and a peacfull place
this is what you people dont want to believe..

well if you came to the middel east..we wont beat you up either...you'll see the opposite...
you'll be safe, and no one is going kill you or anything, cos believe it or not
we dont hate you,
we dont want you dead cos you're not muslim

(now we go to war to protect the right to make fun of jesus. )
gary.. if people in the middel east saw you making fun of jesus.. they will go to war on you...
(AND I DONT MEAN A REAL WAR ..dont take the wrong meaning)
cos they believe that jesus is a prophet that he should get the same respect of Prophet Mohmed (may peace be upon on both of them)

about burning down buildings and what happened in lebanon and syria, in case you didnt know
everyone was shocked..cos we dont agree with that and both goverments were sorry about it
cos they and even I, think it's violence and an agressive behavior. people were too way out of control cos of the anger that was coming up after along time of silent.
we Arab were too much quiet about everything happening to us..and it's time to talk

(no non moslem could ever live under the laws of the koran.)
I understand you view of point. it's hard to have a life and change it in a day and night
maybe you think it's hard
and some of us (in muslim's society) believe it's hard too...
I actually dont really take all the laws which it's wrong...and i hope I can do it all someday

maybe you're not like me but what I beleive is that our god gave us a lot of things that he should get at least (thank you) for it. and we thank him by doing what he asked us to do..which it's what he told us to do in Quraan...
yes, I guess we turn our lives from book, and I dont think it's wrong, Quraan makes alot of sense..if you read it
so how do you want us to believe that our religion is totally wrong?

I know alot of people who went to the states and actually lived in it before 9-11..everything was fine to muslims and arabs there..
after that all amaricans turned on muslims and most of them that didnt had an american passport were kicked out.. all because of a person who though that he was doing a victory by crushing a plane into two bulldings that was full with american people and chilldren ..

even christian arabs didnt get a way with it... they were insulted .. kicked out most of them...I know a lot of American people in here who are actually happy.. cos they lived in here with peace and security.
all western people and arab who lives in (k.s.a) lives in compounds... that they can do whatever they want in it...all customs and the things they like... they are not forced to do anything that they dont want to do.

they are free to pray in they way they do.. they are free to say whatever they want.. they are free to do all the customs of thier religions...
that's in every arab country...off course they can get out from their homes .. go to malls hang out in resturants ... (in case you think we dont have these stuff..you already think we dont have TV'S and magazines??)

that's all

thank you
