Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: good news finally

I don't think it entirely coincidental that Iran was referred to the UN Security Council by the IEEA just days before this fiasco kicked off.

The Iranian point of view is probably that the UN will deal with them a little more softly vis-a-vis imposing sanctions against Iran rather than risk appearing 'Anti-Islamic'. The fact that Syria is next on the 'Axis of Evil' also goes some way to explaining why they've also been so vocal. It's not going to hurt Iranian ambitions in Iraq either. Or so they think.

The question about the Danish Imams being brought to account for their dishonesty also doesn't appear to be one that the Muslim participants of this forum seem willing to address. There's a surprise. Well, maybe not, given that I have seen at least one posting that even questions the religious affiliations of the 911 killers.

All in all, the lies and unscrupulous political ambitions of a few amoral Islamic leaders turned a domestic act of insensitivity into an international firestorm that has only resulted in the deaths of some innocent Muslims. Economic sanctions against Denmark are laughable as the lost revenue accounts for a very small amount of it's GDP. The Muslim community as a whole has suffered a major PR disaster as more people look upon them, as a group, as being irrational extremists than was the case a month ago. The lie that a 'minority' are unrepresentative of the whole now holds less water than it once did with the liberal community at large. Any group that is so easy to manipulate is just as dangerous as one that is consciously 'evil'.

That said, it doesn't even make the news now in the U.K. What is happening internationally? Does it look like it's abating? They didn't get their apology and they never will. All they've succeeded in doing is to make their own neighbourhoods look like bigger holes than they were already! For nothing...........

Well done!
