in response to reader comment: Muslim Patience

what muslim patience? Sure you must be joking.

Already embassies have been burned, and a 60 year old priest merely praying quietly has been shot to death in cold blood by a 16 year old turk - no doubt he will be hero of islamic world and soon they will celebrate his birthday as yet another holiday. (If I sound bitter it is because I am.)

Anyway, west and islam will not be able to coexist - it is not possible. The chasm is deep and can not be recovered from this time. Islam believes the cartoon "insult" was too great, and we believe your response and desire to impose islamic views (supression of freedom of expression, etc) are not acceptable to us. we have to work to protect our way to life. West and Islam must separate - coexistence is suicide for the west and large scale confrontation between west and islam will have no winners - let us go our own ways.
