Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: The True, Peaceful Face Of Islam by Karen Armstrong

Still waiting to hear just one condemnation of the Danish imams who circulated FALSE cartoons to stir up this violence. You will note that the surah verse numbers were quoted and therefore rather easy to contradict. Even for you...................

Yet the lies that have been circulated by representatives of your religion have been ignored. Is this deception permissible when they have blasphemed against the book that they purport to represent?

What does the Qu'ran say about hypocrisy? Or is falsehood a crime only when applied to non-Muslims? This would appear to support the widely held belief that the peaceful elements of the Qu'ran only apply to dar-el-islam. If a believer blasphemes surely that is a more despicable crime than the blasphemies of a non-believer?

Speak out against the deceptions of your religous representatives if you want sympathy and understanding. If you speak out against the perceived blasphemies of the West and turn a deaf ear to the lies of your own people you will find that your words will fall upon deaf ears....
