sir or madam,

as for replacing the arabs with the jews, and since you are so much into history, please pick up and read a book entitled the old testament. in there you will find out that these jews who replaced the poor arabs were simply regaining their own land. and oh how little of it was regained. and i am an american. my country has never been host to wonderful events such as the holocaust or the pogroms. and as for the shah, in arab countries its always the choice between a despot andf a criminal so its a toss up there. and for the 6 million slaughtered, well all i can say is that i would have been one of them and with people like you around the evening is young.

as for machiavelli, you are dead on target. but as a true fan of the man you may want to consider weaving in some of his philosophies while reading his books. machiavellis base philosophy was that man, used in the generic sense, lives in one of 2 states. the first being civilized society in which the peoples lives and rights are protected by the law. the other is the state of nature in which the only right you have is that of your life and is basically ruled by the law of the jungle where the strong take the weak, and well, i guess you can see my point. and this is the simple overiding question we are facing today. will we continue to live in the state of civilized society or revert to the law of the jungle as in burning down buildings and threatening peoples lives over cartoons.

thank you
