Dear Libyan:

you are wrong - at least I am a typical american and I am not racist. I am an immigrant from 3rd world country, and love americans and the west (but then most humans love their country -native or adopted, so no surprise there.) I for one am shocked to breaking point by islamic reaction and riots, and if true, the lies of the imam's to add 3 never published, more inflamatory cartoons in their portrayal of what was published.

anyway, dear Libyan friend, there is nothing to be done - west and islam simply need to go their separate ways - there is no middle ground possible -we can all still breath the same air and be warmed by the same sun, but trade if we wish, but the hope that there can be a universal human community is dead - these last few days have show it to me. Islam can not coexist in this world with any other religion or belief system. That is sad, but so it is their choice - we just have to go our separate ways.
