Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?

Submitted by Sword of Islam (United Kingdom), Feb 7, 2006 at 20:42

During the conflict in the Balkans not so long ago when NATO came to the aid of beleaguered Muslims (yet again) and whose efforts were consequently spat upon by those whom we sought to liberate I believed that this was a just cause and had great respect for NATO in ignoring the procrastination of the UN (familiar story?) and proceeding to restore order in that trouble region.

I fell into the trap of believing (a typical Western response considering the horror of the Holocaust) that history was repeating itself and that another innocent ethnic minority group was being persecuted by a xenophobic majority. This time, I thought, we CANNOT allow it to happen again!

I would now like to take this opportunity to apologise to the people of the Balkans for allowing myself to have been fooled by the lies and propaganda of the Middle East. I am now convinced that the truth was the first casualty of war and that Milosevic simply had the misfortune to be the first European leader able to see the gathering storm.

I am sure that I do not form a majority with this opinion by, my Muslim enemy, your nihilism and contempt for our values have managed to change my mind. Jesus turned water into wine. Your faith has turned sympathy into utter contempt. I am not alone. Many more will eventually see this truth.

You will reap the whirlwind...........................................
