in response to reader comment: CARTOONS OF PROPHET MUHAMMED (PBUH)

Submitted by Rania (Pakistan), Feb 2, 2006 at 19:26

I cant imagine why people keep ranting its freedom of speech where as its so blatantly clear that these blasphemous cowardly attempt was to tarnish Islam and to incite and provoke muslim sentiments.

danes were taking revenge of an action of one man who killed van gough and they took their venom out on 1.5 billion muslims around the world. Yea right. so much for the most tolerant country in Europe who took one criminal act of a man and have made whole muslim global community their enemy.

No muslim on earth whether moderate, seculer, extremist or liberal would like such Insult to our beloved Prophet.
What the danes, the french, german, spanish, norweign or whomever did only united muslims around the world in our struggle and our caution against the west and their so called democratic values.

Muslims around the world are coming together more passionately to tackle any and every attack on our Prophet, our faith, our religion and our values.NOONE can take that away from us.

I have met countless muslims who otherwise couldnt care less for religion but this blasphemy has brought them back to their faith and conviction that islam is indeed under attack by the world.

True democracy safeguards and respects other faiths and people, not provoke violence.
I have never been so appalled in my life.
