My first question to you is have you ever been to a muslim country, have you lived in a muslim country, were you born in a muslim country?

The rosy place that Irshad and others are trying to build for Islam is NOT real.

However, I have high respect to people who realize that Islam as it is today and as it was when created by Muhammad is not compatible with human rights. Ijtihad can only touch on minor aspects of Islam but in no way can change the core teachings such as Hijab, Divorce, Polygymy, killing etc. In Islam Allah knows better, people can not twist the ayas to suite the current civilization. If someone like Irshad wants to do that, she will be the fisrt target of radicals, I can't understand why would they want to reform something with all of this faults, why don't they just abandond this cult, or maybe convert to a humanized and civilized religeon like Chrsitianity.

Can Irshad change the verse related to beating women, can she change the inheritance laws, can she change or reform the status of women in Islam? all of these are core of the Quran that no ijtihad wll ever be able to change and if changed, then this will be anything but Islam.

I hate to discourage you but this is the real fact about this religion.
