Reviving the ancient definition of citizenship

When you take a look at how citizenship was gained in the Roman Empire, certain criteria had to be satisfied.

Nowadays, citizenship is bestowed via a different route.

So, given the tumultuous history Islam has had with those who follow other faith traditions, clearly defining citizenship goes a long way in protecting those people who don't deserve to have
people take liberties with their civility.
