in response to reader comment: Russian Genocide against Ukraine and Ukrainians

The propensity of humanity to conduct expeditions into inhumanities is evident in history, the current incursion into the Ukraine merely the latest in a region that has had more than its fair share of exterminations, the causes of which are legendary as they are epochal. Expansions to the east as well as to the west, from occidental movements to the Mongols, Tatars, Turks, etal; tendencies to genocide is more than incidental, it is innate.
At this interim, yet another attempt to make the world over to suit the circumstances of one whose only interests in humanity is how many can be forced to see the world through his lens while he has the power, not realizing that eventually the limitations that are always there will lead to the dramatic end all of them face. Unfortunately, the trail forged in the processes of building the empire is littered with the casualities that were offered to the god of fortresses, which leads to the conclusion that a greater sinister power is at work.
Of such are the delusions of empire, which never end well.
In modern terms, it will be more catastrophic for the out-of-control technology no one knows how to curtail.
