Reader comment on item: How Ukrainian Refugees Could Inadvertently Erase the West

Thank you for another important and needed perspective on a complicated situation. The vast majority of migrants into the USA, mostly illegal, are economic opportunists, they are not like the Ukrainians, and not just because of a hot war, without getting into the West/East animus against Russia. The Ukrainians are Europeans with a Christian cultural background, and the USA is a European Judeo-Christian country no matter what the multi-cultural madmen say or do. The Ukrainians would do well here. Also, Israel has received many Jewish Ukrainians who wished to make aliyah since the war began...
Refugees from the Asian, the Middle East and African countries should be looking for appropriate support in their home regions, continents and among peoples of similar language, religion and culture as you said.
