The global pandemic spawned more than the virus(es) that plagues humanity still, potentially having reached endemic status as the Spanish flu did a century or so ago. The main recognition of then until now is that military scientific interventions changed from being defensive in World War I when considering the introduction of mustard gases, being eclipsed by the dramatic losses of the flu exceeding those of battle.
Now, military science of our enemies have demonstrated the far-reaching and far flung effects of biological manapulations that apparently have roots on both hemispheres, but of which it cannot be decided who are teh victors and who are the victims (except in the tally of the millions that were sacrificed for empire sake), the count of which is still in analytical evaluation of the effectiveness of the technique.
Meaning: it's not over yet.
What this does demonstrate is humanity's still delusional struggle of how governments today are at a loss of finding about how to bring all of this under some form of control, now that religion has been abandoned philosphically as a source of determining mortality; and where does one now need to go to seek peace of mind.
Abandonment of religions is not humanity's only resource of determining how to best achieve a sense of rational advancement of the species, but in trying to replace religion with 'climate change' theories of the 'Green Initiatives,' et al, a more devastating challenge to a continued existence of humanity appears on teh horizon: that of humanity's propensity for self extermination for the lack of observing the rules of law and order, originally 'divined' from the historical record of recognizing that there is, in fact, a superior (not human) intelligence that has been in control from before time. Secularism rejects that premise; but not without hazard.
Secularism gets its chance; in fact it is in the middle of that 'humanistic' experiment as this is being written. However, what is to be considered after that Pavlovian experiment is over? Humanity never fails to fail.
Does religion get another chance? Hardly; if religion could not get it done in two thousand years, another thousand years more would still not be enough to demonstrate its insufficiency.
This bring the question: if Christianity was tasked with bringing truth into the minds of an errant humanistic society, might returning to the Gospel message be the actual answer. From this perspective, believing the Gospel is the only way to prove religion wrong, but have a better way to seek truth than trying to replace it with fables that never proved truth, only except in that the truth remains, if one knows where to seek it.
